Shep is a two-year-old bundle of joy with a smile that's sure to win you over! He's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of other dogs and would also be happy as the star of his own show, as long as he gets to have playdates with his canine pals. Shep is a clever boy with impressive treat-catching skills, and he's eager to learn all sorts of new tricks.

Shep would do well as an only dog with a family that can facilitate doggy playdates, or he would also be happy to live with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Shep has tested positive for heartworms, which is common for dogs rescued from the Southeast. He is currently undergoing a slow-kill treatment protocol, which is safer and less toxic. All necessary medications are provided, and he is expected to have no lasting health concerns after treatment is complete.
