Goyito

Goyito is a charming Schnauzer mix with a heart as big as his spirit! This approximately 3-4 year old, 12 lb male is a bundle of joy, always ready with playful antics, affectionate cuddles, and plenty of kisses. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, men, and women. While he might be a little shy and bark briefly when first meeting new people, his true sweet nature quickly shines through once he feels secure. Goyito's past includes abandonment and a frightening accident where he was hit by a car, but he bravely survived and recovered. Despite his hardships, he has never lost his joyful outlook or his capacity for love. Now safe and sound, Goyito is obedient, playful, and brimming with affection. He's just waiting for a family who will cherish him forever.

Ideal Home

Goyito would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and provide a loving home, with an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals. Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly desired. Patience and tolerance for a rescued dog are essential.

Ongoing Health

Goyito has received a comprehensive health protocol including: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive, and a health certificate with vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

It's important to understand that rescued dogs like Goyito may not be house-trained. He will require patience and understanding as he adjusts to a new home and learns house manners. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help him feel secure and build trust.

• You will need to fill out an adoption form.
• Photos and videos of your home are required to ensure your future furry friend will be safe.
• If it's a potential match, a call or video chat will be scheduled to introduce you to Goyito and conduct a virtual home tour.
• 1-2 references will be contacted.
• Upon approval, an adoption contract will be signed, and an adoption fee will be collected to cover vet care, vaccinations, microchip, food, and more.

Transporation

Goyito is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip if adopted. We offer door-to-door delivery. Our transport process includes scheduled trips (3-4 times a year) with a contracted transport company from Montana. Pets will travel with all necessary legal documents, including a Transport Contract and Health Certificate from the USDA. For US adoptions, pets will be escorted across the border into Texas. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers the cost from Mexico to your home. Regular updates, including photos and videos of your pet's journey, feeding schedules, and ETAs, will be provided in a private Facebook Messenger group. The transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
