Meet Zach Thomas, a 2-year-old Poodle mix who, at 17 pounds, has a personality as big as his zest for life! Found as a stray with a past shrouded in mystery, it's clear he didn't receive the love and care he deserved. Upon arrival, his coat was in rough shape due to neglect, but thanks to dedicated care, great food, and heaps of affection, his fur is growing back beautifully, and he's looking better every day!
Zach is bursting with puppy-like energy and is always up for an adventure. He's incredibly food-motivated, making treats a fantastic tool for his ongoing training. He's also shown impeccable house manners in foster care, with zero potty accidents! Zach is a vocal pup and isn't shy about sharing his thoughts, so his forever family should be ready for a dog who enjoys keeping everyone informed about goings-on.
Ideal Home
Zach is dog-selective and thrives with slow, careful introductions to new canine friends. He seems to prefer female dogs and might be happiest with a furry companion who matches his energy and play style. Due to his prey drive and interest in smaller creatures, Zach would do best in a home without cats or other small pets.
Ongoing Health
Zach is up-to-date on vaccines and has been microchipped and neutered.
Training & Support
Zach is a quick learner, especially with treats as a motivator! He's already mastered house-training. His vocal nature means his new family will be prepared for a chatty companion. With structure, consistency, and plenty of exercise and enrichment, Zach is sure to blossom into a fun and devoted family member.
