Skipper

Skipper is a sporty and energetic girl looking for her perfect match! She’s been with us for over two years, making her one of our longer-term residents. Skipper came to us with trauma to her front leg, which has since been amputated. She has fully healed and blossomed over the past two years, revealing her unique quirks and wonderful personality to those she trusts.

Skipper is a beautiful black and white tripod who absolutely loves to play fetch! She's the perfect companion for any baseball or softball enthusiast, ready to entertain you for hours. Once she's tired from playing, Skipper reveals her cuddly side and enjoys relaxing close to her people.

Ideal Home

Skipper would do best as the only pet in the home as she is not good with other dogs or cats. She may need a little extra time to warm up to new people, but treats and a ball should help her feel comfortable quickly.

Ongoing Health

Skipper has fully healed from her leg amputation.

Training & Support

Skipper is learning basic commands like sit, down, and leave it. She needs more leash training, but does exceptionally well with a head halter and responds well to treats to redirect pulling.
