Kim is a spirited 1-year-old Border Collie/Labrador mix who weighs approximately 32 lbs. He's a bundle of joy, brimming with playful energy and a sweet, loving nature. Kim is a smart boy who is ready to learn and shine with the right guidance. He's always up for an adventure and enjoys the company of other dogs. He's also been found to be cat-friendly! Kim is leash, crate, and car ride trained, making him a great travel companion.
Kim's journey began when he was found abandoned at our doorstep. He was diagnosed with parvo and underwent hospitalization and treatment, from which he has made a full recovery. While he's full of love to give, Kim can be a little timid at first and needs some time to decompress and build trust with new people.
Ideal Home
Kim would thrive in an active home with families who enjoy outdoor activities. A fenced backyard is preferred to keep him safe during his playtime. He needs a patient and understanding family with experience in dog behavior and training, who can embrace his perfectly imperfect nature and provide him with the support he needs to continue his growth.
Ongoing Health
Kim has a clean bill of health after his parvo treatment. His health protocol includes: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI Vaccines, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Deworming, Microchip, 4DX Test and Certificate, Negative Heartworm Test Certificate, and a Health Certificate. He is also on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm.
Training & Support
Kim is leash, crate, and car ride trained. While he's a quick learner, he's not yet house-trained. Rescued dogs like Kim may have experienced trauma and will need time to adjust. Patience, understanding, and consistent positive reinforcement will be key to his continued development.
