Pop

Hello there! I'm Pop, a happy-go-lucky dog with incredibly soft fur and darling white markings on my nose. I absolutely love to snuggle and can often be found napping near a warm oven. My fur is a bit thicker than most pitties, hinting at perhaps some Border Collie in my lineage! I came here with my brother and sister from New Mexico, though my memories from that time are a bit fuzzy. I'm proud to say I'm potty trained and will let you know when I need to go out by resting by the door. I'm also kennel trained, but I much prefer to be out and about – I'm a trustworthy companion who won't get into any mischief. My favorite place to sleep is right next to my foster mom; she keeps me so warm and cozy!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a family with older kids, another dog to be my best buddy, and an active lifestyle that includes adventures and exploring. Sleeping in bed with my people is a must! While I'm generally good with kids, I can be a little shy at first as they move quickly. I'll eventually warm up and shower them with licks, but it might take about 10 minutes for me to settle down. I absolutely love other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion.

Training & Support

I know sit, stay, wait, and off, and I'm working on "come." I'm very food-motivated, especially by peanut butter and yogurt, and I always wait for the "okay" command before eating. I'm also learning to take treats gently. I tend to bark at my foster sister's friends but eventually calm down.
