Giles is the kind of dog who wins hearts everywhere he goes. This incredibly sweet boy spent years as a beloved companion to an elderly couple. When his owners' health began to decline, Giles temporarily stayed with family. During that time, he was unfortunately hit by a car, resulting in nerve damage to his hind end and docking of his tail. Eventually, when his owners were no longer able to care for him, Giles found himself in rescue, searching for a new beginning.
Despite everything life has thrown his way, Giles remains one of the gentlest, most easygoing dogs you'll ever meet. In fact, he's our unofficial dog tester...if another dog can't get along with Giles, they probably won't get along with anyone. He absolutely adores other dogs and has a calm, social nature that makes him a favorite among both people and pups. Giles doesn't let his past define him. He enjoys the simple things in life: the company of other dogs, affection from his people, a comfortable place to rest, and the security of knowing he's loved. Ongoing Health
Due to the nerve damage from his previous injury, Giles does experience some minor bowel incontinence. However, this has been well-managed through dietary changes, and he has shown significant improvement on his current high-fiber prescription diet. In fact, the issue is pretty much non-existent at this time.
Training & Support
Giles has a calm, social nature and is a favorite among both people and pups. He absolutely adores other dogs.
