Cora

Cora is a delightful Female Pitbull mix, born in January of 2025. She was unfortunately abandoned and left to fend for herself, but thankfully, kind humans brought her to safety. She's a playful and food-motivated girl who takes treats very gently. Cora's larger-than-life personality means she can be quite the handful, but she's all the companion you'll ever need!

Ideal Home

Cora would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as the shelter environment is quite overstimulating for her. Due to her prey drive, she should not live with cats. She'd do best in a household with teenage children aged 15 and older, given her energy level and lack of impulse control. Cora would likely be happiest as the only dog in her new home.

Ongoing Health

Cora has been spayed, received appropriate vaccinations, and is microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm but is currently being treated with antibiotics for a positive Lyme test, although she is not exhibiting symptoms.

Training & Support

Cora will need a fair but strong leader who is dedicated to building a solid foundation of mutual trust, love, and understanding.
