Estimated to be around 2 years old, Marcel weighs approximately 25 pounds and appears to be a French Bulldog, though as with all rescue dogs, his breed and age are simply our best educated guess. Whatever came before has done absolutely nothing to dim his enthusiasm for people, dogs, or life itself. He greets new friends with an open heart, happily collects kisses whenever the opportunity presents itself, and seems genuinely convinced that everyone deserves a warm Marcel-hello! Marcel is wonderfully social with other dogs and has an easygoing personality that makes him an enjoyable companion wherever he goes. Doggie friends of all ages and sizes are welcome but the people-focused personality and quiet confidence of an independent French gentleman that would be perfectly happy with just his people. Whether you're heading out for a car ride, relaxing at home, or sharing a quiet evening on the couch, he's simply happy to be by your side. He's playful and social without being overwhelming, affectionate without being demanding, and carries himself with that charming mix of youthful fun and calm confidence that makes him feel wise beyond his years. Marcel loves treats but would never let that take away from having impeccable manners around treats. From sharing to taking them gently, Marcel is a classy gentleman around even the most delicious of treats. Non-negotiables for Marcel? Well... booty scratches are considered essential. Transporation

Marcel is located in Texas but can be transported to various locations. Transport is available nationwide through their USDA certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
