Tigger bonds deeply with her people and loves staying close for attention and affection. She enjoys short bursts of playtime and has a curious explorer streak, though she returns on her own after investigating.

Ideal Home

Tigger can get along with dogs and cats when introductions are slow and proper. She would thrive in a calm home where she can be the center of attention, ideally as the only pet or with one calm, respectful companion. Her bossy, herding-style personality may lead her to nip at other dogs to put them in their place, though she has never been in a fight and does not show aggression.

She would do best with adults or children aged 12 and older who understand her boundaries and need for peace. A securely fenced yard is preferred because she may dart through an open door, though exceptions may be considered for the right home.

Ongoing Health

Tigger tested positive for early heartworm disease and is on a slow-kill treatment plan requiring continued veterinary monitoring and prevention. She previously received ProHeart 12 and will continue follow-up treatment as directed by her veterinarian. She takes Vetmedin to support healthy heart function, though she does not have heart disease. Restricted activity is needed during treatment and recovery.

Tigger is fully potty trained. She is affectionate, loyal, and gentle, and is looking for a patient home where she can feel safe and cherished.
