Hi, my name is Joey! I'm a young, male hound mix who came to Wags from a shelter after a difficult situation. Because of my past, I can be a little shy at first, but I promise I'm not as timid as I might seem. I just need someone who will take things a little slow with me so I can feel safe and comfortable. Once I get to know you, you'll see what a sweet and loving dog I really am! I like people, I'm great with other dogs, and I walk nicely on a leash. I also love kids, though I might do best with older children (around 8 years and up) since the really little ones can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for me. I'm a loyal boy who will come when you call, and I absolutely love giving kisses and getting affection from the people I care about. All I ask is that you take a few minutes to spend some time with me. Let me get to know you, and I think you might just fall in love. I'm waiting patiently and hoping that the right person will see the wonderful dog I'm ready to be.

Ideal Home

I think I would do best in a quieter home where I can relax and be myself. I might do best with older children (around 8 years and up).

I am neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I walk nicely on a leash and come when called. I can be shy at first and need a little time to warm up.
