Nona

Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix who is a true delight. She's in her confident older puppy phase, full of playful energy and a growing understanding of the world. Nona is built like a tank with a short, sturdy frame and an adorably front-heavy build. She loves to zoom around the yard with her favorite toys and greets her foster mom with enthusiastic leaps. Nona is all sweetness and loves to be near her people, wiggling her whole body and wagging her tail a mile a minute when excited. She enjoys meeting new friends, both human and canine, and recently did wonderfully when meeting a small child. Nona has a charming stubborn streak that makes her even more lovable, and she's incredibly clever, enjoying puzzles and obstacle courses. She is highly motivated by toys and treats, making training fun. Nona has mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. She enjoys walks of 2-3 miles and, while she may not love car rides, she's delightful once she arrives. Nona is fully crate trained and doing great with potty training. She's a bit of a shy watchdog and will sound the alarm if she hears or sees something unfamiliar. Her adorable underbite makes her goofy expressions even cuter. Nona is dog-friendly and gets along well with her foster siblings, but would do best with a canine companion who is respectful of personal space. While she hasn't been around cats or children in a home setting, she'd likely do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children. Nona is expected to mature into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog. Transporation

Nona is currently located in Austin, TX. She can transport out of state when matched with an approved adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
