Journey is a three and a half year old, neutered male husky with striking black and white markings. He weighs around 45-50lbs and was born on August 17, 2022. Journey's story is one of resilience; he was famously rescued during a hurricane in Houston by kayakers after he swam to shore. Since then, he's discovered the joy of a loving home and daily care! He’s a social butterfly who gets along well with most medium to large dogs, both male and female, though he has a particular dislike for one red husky. Journey would make a wonderful companion for school-aged children, a couple, or a single person, as long as he's an integral part of their lives and adventures.
Ideal Home
Journey would do best in a home where he is included in daily activities and adventures. He is not suited for apartment living and needs a fenced yard to run and play. He absolutely cannot be left tied outside or be a part of a home with an electric fence.
Ongoing Health
Journey is up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and receives monthly preventative treatments. He is also microchipped and neutered.
Training & Support
Journey knows his basic commands but is not yet trained to be off-leash. He loves to play in the water and enjoys car rides, showing no signs of anxiety.
