Summit is one of five retriever puppies who, along with siblings Canyon, Denali, and Promise, came from a hoarding situation. While undeniably adorable with their floppy ears and puppy-dog eyes, these sweet pups had a difficult start. They spent their lives in isolation, with very little exposure to the outside world, new people, or even basic things like leashes, toys, and yard. Everything is a new discovery for them, and they are learning about the world all at once as babies. Summit, and her siblings, are looking for adopters who understand that they may be shy at first and will need time to warm up. They are not "bad" puppies; they are simply learning to exist outside of survival mode and discovering the joy of life, including their first zoomies, tail wags, and understanding that toys are fun and humans can be safe. Beneath their uncertainty lie sweet retriever hearts ready to bloom with the right families who will offer kindness, patience, routine, and allow them to grow at their own pace.
