She's not only incredibly sweet but also amazing with kids, dog-friendly, respectful around cats, and remarkably smart. We believe she's a German Shepherd mix, around 12 years old and weighing 58 lbs, though with any rescue, age and breed can be a mystery. Her fun, independent spirit and loving nature make her a wonderful companion for those with some Shepherd experience.

Ideal Home

Tamera Honey would thrive in a semi-active home where she can enjoy neighborhood walks, a bit of adventure, and plenty of affection. She'd love a backyard to stretch her legs and enjoy sunshine. Apartment living would not be a good fit for her. She's a wonderful greeter for guests and equally happy with a quiet day at home.

Tamera Honey is a smart girl who is treat-motivated and eager to please, already knowing many tricks like sit, down, shake, spin, roll over, and speak! She walks fairly nicely on a leash, occasionally pulling out of excitement but responding well to gentle reminders. She is also crate trained and potty trained. Consistency and positive reinforcement will make any additional training a rewarding experience.

Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
