Ricky

Ricky and Lexi are a bonded pair who came to us when their previous owner could no longer care for them. They have been each other's constant companions for a long time and will need to be adopted together. Lexi is a silky-haired terrier mix with a more outgoing personality, while Ricky is a Maltese mix who is a bit more shy and reserved with new people. While Ricky may initially greet new acquaintances with a growl, both he and Lexi are learning that making friends can be a rewarding experience. With a patient and gentle approach, their confidence will blossom, and their playful sides will emerge.

Ideal Home

Ricky and Lexi would thrive in a home with older children or no children, as Ricky is still warming up to new people. They would also benefit from a home that can provide consistent routines for potty training, as they are currently working on using potty pads and transitioning to outdoor potty breaks. A fenced yard would be ideal for them to explore safely, though it is not a strict requirement. Due to their vocal nature, a home with shared walls would not be the best fit.

Ongoing Health

Ricky and Lexi are a healthy pair and have no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Ricky and Lexi are still working on their potty training and leash skills. They are currently using potty pads and are being introduced to leash walking for outdoor potty breaks. Consistent routines and positive reinforcement will be key to their success. Ricky may initially be cautious and vocal with new people, but with patience and gentle handling, he will gain confidence.
