Meet Duke, a truly delightful companion who's ready to fill your life with love and a dash of silliness! Duke is a handsome 38-pound mix, likely with Pointer and Border Collie in his lineage, giving him a perfect medium size. He's the ideal hang-out buddy, offering quiet moral support as you tackle your day, and is always happy to nap at your feet. His tail wags are infectious, and his heart is pure gold.
Ideal Home
Duke dreams of a fenced-in yard where he can enjoy victory laps, play fetch, and sunbathe. A quiet neighborhood with plenty of sniffing opportunities is ideal for his chill vibe. While he loves being a social butterfly, busy apartment life with noisy hallways and elevators isn't his cup of tea.
Ongoing Health
Duke is a healthy boy who has received all necessary vetting, including DAPP vaccinations with a booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He's also had multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, is neutered, and is up-to-date on flea and heartworm prevention (including a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative). He also received a heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Duke is a smart cookie who is crate trained and excels at potty training, having had no accidents. He's also great with children of all ages, showing patience and gentleness. He's a social butterfly with other dogs, happily coexisting with a variety of breeds and sizes, and would love a canine sibling to play with. We haven't yet determined his feelings about cats, so a "kitty slumber party" can be arranged to ensure a harmonious introduction.

Transportation
Duke is currently in a foster home in Texas. Transportation is available nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. There is an $87 surcharge for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
