Dahlia

Dahlia is a beautiful, approximately 2-year-old Poodle/Shih Tzu mix who weighs around 10–12 lbs. She was rescued from a commercial breeder and is still learning to trust as the world is a very big, unfamiliar place to her. Dahlia is shy and easily overwhelmed, but she is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl who wants to connect. Even when scared, she has never tried to bite and will allow you to pick her up and hold her close, reassuring her that she is safe. With patience, kindness, and a predictable routine, Dahlia will continue to blossom.

Ideal Home

Dahlia would do best in a calm home with another friendly dog who can help her learn that life isn’t so scary. Because she is timid and sensitive, she would thrive in a home without young children.

Ongoing Health

Dahlia has no known health conditions. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on all vaccinations. She is also current on flea/tick treatment and receives monthly heartworm medication.

Training & Support

Dahlia is generally well-behaved but would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and socialization to build her confidence.

• Our adoption fee is $275.00. This fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, all current vaccinations, and flea/tick treatment. Our dogs are also given monthly heartworm medication in our care.
