Meet Wilderness Run Dachshunds. Jill Chidlow Keim 2025 AKC Breeder of the Year – Hound Field Events Wilderness Run Dachshunds is a Virginia-based preservation breeding program dedicated to producing miniature longhaired dachshunds with correct structure, sound temperament, and true hunting ability. Our program was recognized as the AKC 2025 Breeder of the Year in Hound Field Events and is built on proven field lines that consistently produce capable, well-rounded dogs. Every breeding is thoughtfully planned with health, structure, temperament, and working ability at the forefront—resulting in predictable dogs that excel both in the field and in the home. I am an AKC Field Trial Judge for Dachshunds, Beagles (all formats), and Basset Hounds, and the founder and current President of the Blue Ridge Virginia Dachshund Club (est. 2019).
