Tigger

Tigger is as sweet as he is handsome. He is about 1.5 years old and 55 lbs. He and his littermates were abandoned on a country road in East Texas. Sadly, Tigger was the only puppy in the litter to survive. He was terrified when he was found, wanting nothing more than to eat and stay as close as possible to his new mom. When he was introduced to living inside a house, he didn't care for it, and his sadness made his foster siblings sad. Determined to teach him how cool a puppy's life could be, they taught Tigger about tug toys, chew toys, squeaky toys (and removing the squeakers!), dog beds, mom's bed, blankets, and yak cheese chews. Tigger also discovered air conditioning, and he really, really enjoyed it!

Tigger is very bright and quickly catches on to new commands. He is treat and praise motivated and loves to please his foster mom. He develops strong attachments and is as loyal as can be. He is housebroken and crate trained, and is very loving and affectionate. He is a first-class cuddler and will sleep in his kennel or a dog bed, but he prefers to sleep on his mom's bed. He has very nice manners, is great with other dogs and people, and loves children. He loves water and retrieving his favorite ball. He is extremely curious and loves to go on adventures.

Ideal Home

Tigger would be happiest in a situation where he isn't left alone for more than a few hours at a time. His ideal home would also have another medium/large dog to play with.

Training & Support

Tigger is housebroken and crate trained. He is very loving and affectionate and has nice manners. He is treat and praise motivated and loves to please.
