Despite his ordeal, he was incredibly sweet to his rescuers and, after weeks of veterinary care, he has made a full recovery. He's heartworm-negative and ready to share a lifetime of love and loyalty.
Rocket is a true gem! He enjoys playtime in the yard, though he does have a prey drive and might bark at squirrels. He's also happy to relax in his crate for extended periods. He's house-trained and crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Thanks to professional training, Rocket already knows basic and advanced obedience commands, including sit, down, stay, come, and heel.
Rocket is incredibly affectionate and thrives on attention. He's been wonderfully gentle and patient with his foster family's three young children and doesn't mind the hustle and bustle of a busy household. He's also dog-friendly and would be happy to have a canine companion or be the sole furry member of the family. Rocket has a moderate energy level; a good romp or a couple of walks will leave him content to relax. His favorite pastime is chewing, but he happily sticks to his toys, so be sure to provide him with durable chew toys.
