Bruno

Bruno is a Gorgeous Gentle Giant with a heart as big as he is! This handsome Labradoodle mix, about 1 year and 2 months old, is described as a perfect houseguest by his current foster family. Bruno is affable to all types and ages of humans, and his foster family raves about his loving personality, good manners, and stunning coat. He's a well-behaved boy, able to spend 6 to 8 hours in his crate without accidents, and he's already housetrained. Bruno enjoys playtime with his canine friends, engaging in tug-of-war and playful nibbling. He's shown curiosity towards cats but can be redirected, making him a potentially adaptable companion.

Ideal Home

Bruno would thrive in a home where he can continue to get the love and attention he deserves. He enjoys being outdoors and then happily settles in to chill with his humans, enjoying cuddle time.

Ongoing Health

Bruno is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. While he has shown no symptoms and is expected to complete treatment without complications, there's a possibility of lasting effects on his heart, lungs, and arteries. The active treatment protocol can take up to four months to complete. Once he tests negative for microfilaria and treatment is finished, he will be cleared for normal activity and ready to travel north to his forever home. Please consult with your veterinarian for any questions or concerns regarding his medical history and current status.

Training & Support

Bruno is a smart pup who would benefit from continued obedience training to further refine his skills. He can be enthusiastic when greeting guests, occasionally jumping up, so further training in this area will be helpful. He also needs a little more practice with leash walking, as he can sometimes zigzag.
