Slim

Slim is a soulful boy whose story almost ended before it had a chance to truly begin. He was saved from the euthanasia list in Manhattan and is now looking for a patient and understanding foster or forever family to help him continue his journey. Slim is about 6 years young, neutered, and up to date on all vet care. He has so much love to give and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. Giving Slim a chance means giving him the opportunity to finally relax, feel secure, and show the loving dog he truly is.

Ideal Home

Slim will thrive in a calm, consistent home that understands he just needs time, clear boundaries, and reassurance to feel safe. In the right environment, dogs like Slim often blossom into deeply loyal and devoted companions. He needs a single dog home and is not good with cats. An adult-only home is preferred.

Slim is neutered and up to date on vet care.

Training & Support

Like many dogs who have faced stress and uncertainty, Slim does have some challenges, including resource guarding tendencies and some defensive behavior toward men. With structure, patience, and guidance, these behaviors can absolutely improve, and our experienced trainer is available to support his progress.
