Blueberry is a 5.5-year-old, 52 lb sweetheart currently being fostered in Corvallis, OR. He’s the perfect mix of playful energy and grown-up maturity — ideal for someone who wants an active companion without the puppy chaos. This happy, wiggly guy loves long walks and exploring the neighborhood, food puzzles (his orange treat ball is a must!), tug time with his favorite blue cow toy, and snuffle mats and enrichment games. Blueberry is deaf, which makes him extra special and honestly, a pretty peaceful housemate. He sleeps soundly through noise and settles well in his crate, especially with a frozen treat. He already knows hand signals like sit and down, walks nicely on a leash, and is continuing to build great manners and impulse control. He's crate trained, potty trained, friendly, affectionate, and full of personality and joy. Blueberry absolutely loves his people and will happily follow you around with a wagging tail and a big smile. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, and unique companion, he might just be your perfect match.

Ideal Home

Blueberry would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He may do best as the only dog, or with slow, thoughtful introductions to other canine companions. A fenced yard is a bonus, but not required. His humans should be excited to continue working with him using positive reinforcement. He may have some prey drive, so careful introductions to small animals are important.
