Meet Chino, a sweet 4-year-old Maltese with a heart of gold! Chino is looking for a special person to call his own, someone who can offer him a calm and patient home where he can truly blossom. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe and loved, he'll become your most devoted companion. Chino enjoys being near his person, soaking up all the affection he can get, and is happy just to be by your side. He walks well on a leash and is motivated by treats (especially cheese!).
Ideal Home
Chino would thrive in a quiet home with a single person or older adult who has prior dog experience. He needs a patient and understanding owner who can help him build trust and offer consistency. He is not a playful dog and prefers to relax with his person rather than engage in active play.

Chino is up to date on all his vetting, including vaccinations and deworming.
Training & Support
Chino is treat-motivated and eager to please, which will make training a rewarding experience. He is working on his confidence and learning to accept affection. His foster parents have observed him pawing for attention when his foster dad comes home, showing his desire for connection.

Chino is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide with our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for your new companion. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
