Big Texas is everything a Great Pyrenees should be—and more. After his beloved owner passed away, Big Texas found himself in our rescue through no fault of his own. Despite such a heartbreaking loss, he has remained the calm, gentle, and dignified soul he has always been. He is the true embodiment of the Great Pyrenees breed—large, majestic, confident, and composed. His quiet confidence, noble presence, and powerful yet graceful movement make him impossible to overlook. Big Texas does not demand attention; his presence alone speaks for itself. He is incredibly sweet and friendly with everyone he meets. He gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, cats, and people. While he has a wonderful temperament around children, because of his impressive size and guardian breed instincts, we are looking for a home with experienced owners who understand Great Pyrenees. A home without very young children would be the best fit. Big Texas currently weighs about 80 pounds and is underweight. Once he is back in proper condition, we expect him to weigh well over 100 pounds, as a healthy male Great Pyrenees should. If you are looking for a loyal, calm, and breathtakingly beautiful gentle giant, Big Texas is waiting for you. He has already lost the family he loved. Now he deserves a forever home where he will be cherished for the rest of his life.
