Greta is a sweet and gentle Labrador Mix girl, approximately 7 years old and weighing around 66 lbs. She has a loving heart and is house-trained, doing her business in a designated area. Greta is also crate-trained, making her a well-mannered companion. When Greta first meets new people, she can be shy and a little fearful, needing patience and kindness to feel safe. Once she gains confidence, her personality truly blossoms—she becomes super friendly, loves having her head petted, and often offers her paw as a sweet thank-you. Although Greta would do best in a calm and peaceful home, she is still an active dog who enjoys running and moving around. She would love a family that understands her need for both gentle reassurance and regular exercise. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and patience is crucial for them to adapt and build trust.
Ideal Home
Greta would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog and an open conscience about the needs of rescued street animals. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience are essential for this intelligent girl.
Ongoing Health
Greta has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She is microchipped, and a 4DX test and certificate, as well as a negative heartworm test certificate, have been provided. She is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are available.
Training & Support
Greta is house-trained and crate-trained. However, it's important to understand that rescued dogs may not be house-trained, and Greta specifically is noted as potentially not being house-trained. Patience and understanding are crucial for her adjustment period, and her new family should be prepared to work on this.
