Penny Love is the total package: beautiful, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and blessed with a calm, balanced temperament that makes life alongside her feel simple and comfortable. Shes the kind of companion who fits seamlessly into your world and quickly becomes the best part of your everyday routine. Penny Love is believed to be a Lab mix approximately 1.5 years old and currently weighs 70 lbs. From day one in her foster home, Penny has been an absolute dream. Shes usually found curled up relaxing, just enjoying being near her people. She has that rare young dog with an old soul vibe that makes her feel so easy and comforting to be around. And while she loves being close to her humans, shes not clingy or overwhelming. Shell happily stay nearby, keeping you company, without needing to be on top of you every second. Its the perfect balance. Penny loves treats, is learning basic commands such as sit, and wants to make you happy. She is potty trained as well and is working on getting more comfortable with a crate every day. Shell be a great companion for someone who enjoys going on casual strolls throughout the neighborhood and for someone looking for a snuggly pal at the end of the day. She is essentially a homebody and just enjoys the peace and comfort being home. Penny isn't chaotic puppy energy. Shes that perfectly balanced, go-with-the-flow Lab who knows when its time for a stroll, when its time for a toy, and when its time to melt into the couch beside you. Penny does have the potential to also thrive in an apartment. She is generally a mellow girl that doesnt require a whole lot of exercise, her at the end of the day, her happy place is with you. She has wonderful house manners, is respectful in the home, and carries herself like the polite little lady she is. No nonsense. No drama. Just solid, dependable good girl energy.

Ideal Home

Penny Love will do best in a home with a doggy friend that has the same cool, calm, and collected vibe like herself. A male friend that enjoys the company of another dog, isnt looking for a constant playmate, and will respect her space once she arrives at her forever home. If you don't have other dogs, Penny is totally fine with that. Penny will do best in a home with a cat (if you have one) that is very similar in temperament as the ones she is fostered with. They are aloof, keep to themselves, and dont really care to interact with Penny. Penny enjoys being outside and would absolutely love for her forever home to have a nice big backyard where she can roam, play with her toys, and relax in the sun.

Training & Support

Penny is potty trained and is working on getting more comfortable with a crate every day. Penny is polite but a little shy at first and more of a slow-burn companion. Penny does best with dogs that are more on the calm side when meeting and not wanting to immediately jump into play right out the gate because thats just not Penny. Once she knows shes safe, though, she relaxes and starts to open up especially with calm, mature dogs who match her vibe. She enjoys being around them, sniffing, walking alongside, etc. When she does play, she enjoys doing little side-by-side romps but shes not a rough-and-rowdy playstyle kind of girl.
