Cucho is a handsome 3-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix who weighs between 51-60 lbs and is neutered. He began his life with a truly heartbreaking start, abandoned as a tiny puppy and found discarded in a plastic bag. Despite this rough beginning, Cucho is a resilient survivor who has blossomed into a loyal and loving companion. He is striking with his black-and-white coat and even more beautiful spirit.

Ideal Home

Cucho thrives in a home with a yard where he can explore and stretch his legs. Apartment living is not ideal for him. He is comfortable around women and friendly with men and older children. Cucho enjoys the company of other dogs his size, where he can play freely. However, due to his playful nature, he is best suited for homes without small or senior dogs.

Ongoing Health

Cucho is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is neutered.

Training & Support

Cucho is house-trained and walks well on a leash, especially with a harness. He also enjoys car rides. While his crate training is a work in progress, he is a quick learner and thrives with consistency. He is not a big barker, only vocalizing when he gets excited. Cucho can exhibit a light growl if another dog approaches his food bowl while he is eating, but he shows no food aggression towards humans. As with many rescue dogs, Cucho will need time to decompress in a new environment.

Transporation

Cucho is currently located in Mexico and will travel to the Niagara Region once an adopter is found.
