Artie is a fun-loving, high-energy 3-year-old Terrier mix who is always ready for her next adventure! Weighing in at 32 pounds, she brings enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes with her playful spirit and affectionate nature. Artie absolutely adores people and greets new friends with pure excitement and a wagging tail. She's incredibly smart and loves to play, whether it's a game of fetch, a run in the yard, or zooming around the house with her favorite toys. After a good play session, she enjoys cuddling up for snuggles. Artie is independent, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully silly, guaranteed to make you laugh daily and keep you moving!
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and will do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus. While she doesn't need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion, and has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, though slow introductions are always important. She can be a little on edge at first and is protective of her toys, but she backs off quickly and has never escalated beyond that. Artie has not been around cats and hasn't spent time with children yet, but her friendly and affectionate personality suggests she could do well with proper introductions.
Ongoing Health
Artie is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Artie is house trained and crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night and can be crated for 4-6 hours during the day, settling after a little initial whining. Continued training will help her polish her leash manners, as she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs. She should continue to be crated when left alone as she is curious and can get into things on counters if unsupervised. Her ideal home will be patient and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.
