Gilbert

Gilbert's story started in a really hard place-living outside in neglectful conditions, underweight, and struggling with mange. He's come so far since being rescued, and it's honestly amazing how much his personality has still shined through everything.

He's a sweet, people-loving boy who wants nothing more than to be close to his humans. Gilbert is potty trained and crate trained, and while he might protest for a minute in his crate, he settles quickly once he knows he's safe.

Now that he's on the mend, we're seeing more and more of who he really is: a happy, affectionate dog who loves to burrow into blankets, roll in the grass like it's the best thing in the world, and light up over toys and treats. He's very food motivated and eager to learn, just figuring out manners and what's okay to chew as he goes.

Gilbert feels like a dog who's finally getting his second chance-and he's ready for the kind of home where he can keep healing, keep learning, and just be loved.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
