Meet Arthur!
Arthur is a charming 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix who is ready to fill your life with love and adventure. He was found as a stray and, after being brought to a local shelter, our rescue team fell in love and found him a wonderful foster home. Arthur is a delightful mix of playful energy and affectionate cuddles, making him the perfect companion. He approaches each day with enthusiasm and enjoys a good romp, exploring new sights and smells, and most importantly, spending quality time with his favorite people.
Ideal Home
Arthur would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, structure, and plenty of opportunities to be an integral part of the family. He's happy as an only pet, but would also enjoy a home where he can share his adventures. While Arthur has done well with children, his exuberance during play means he could accidentally knock over a small child, so a family who understands his energetic nature and can manage this would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. No specific health conditions are noted in his description.
Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained, settling nicely in his crate for extended periods. He's also a pro in the car and absolutely adores car rides! While Arthur may pull a bit initially on walks, he quickly settles into a good routine. His foster family describes him as outgoing, playful, curious, affectionate, and incredibly sweet, with a love for toys and attention. He has demonstrated good social skills with dogs of various sizes and has shown curiosity, but no aggression, towards cats and pot-bellied pigs.
