Meet Ronan, a playful and spirited 4-year-old Australian Shepherd/Collie mix who weighs 40 pounds and is fostered in Port Hope, ON. After being abandoned and spending his life chained outside, Ronan deserves a safe, kind, and stable home.

Ronan enjoys activity, structure, and time with people he trusts. He has done well with dogs and cats, though cat interactions should be supervised. He is currently uncomfortable with new people and certain interactions, so he needs calm, respectful handling, slow introductions, and someone who understands canine body language.

Ideal Home

Ronan would do best in a calm, structured home with an experienced handler. Children are not recommended. He needs patience, consistency, and a commitment to helping him feel safe.

Ongoing Health

Ronan is neutered and vaccinated. Muzzle training has been recommended for public settings.

Training & Support

Ronan is house trained, walks well on leash, and is working on crate training. Interactions with new people should currently be avoided.
