Nola is a loving 37-pound, approximately 2-year-old Coonhound mix with a resilient spirit and a heart full of affection. She is wonderful with dogs, children, men, and women. Nola is very affectionate and thrives on human attention, forming strong bonds with her people and displaying a naturally protective personality. She is an energetic young dog who loves to play and needs regular exercise and mental stimulation. Nola has a history of destroying toys when bored or overly excited, so she would do best with an active family. Her past is heartbreaking; she and her sisters were abandoned as puppies in Houston and survived by hiding. Tragically, two of her sisters were lost, and Nola herself was attacked, resulting in a dislocated right leg. Despite this trauma, she survived and now walks and runs well, not letting her past define her. Nola is searching for a forever home where she will experience safety, patience, and unconditional love.
