Merry

Merry is a gentle, sensitive German Shepherd mix who truly thrives as part of a pack. She looks to other dogs for guidance and reassurance, so she will need a confident, friendly canine companion in her forever home. While she's cautious around new people, patience pays off. Once Merry trusts you, she's affectionate, loyal, and loves being part of the family. She is fully house-trained and crate-trained, happily eating and sleeping in her crate, and she knows a few basic commands. Merry walks nicely on a leash in the backyard, but she's still too nervous to venture beyond the safety of home. She does, however, attend doggy daycare once a week and does wonderfully with the other dogs there—a testament to how much confidence she gains from canine friends.

Ideal Home

Merry would do best with someone who has experience with German Shepherds or shy rescue dogs. She'll thrive in a calm, predictable home with minimal loud noises or excessive barking, as sudden sounds can frighten her. A secure home is also essential. Merry is athletic and capable of jumping fences, so she'll need a tall, secure fence or a properly enclosed kennel to keep her safe.

Merry is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Merry is fully house-trained and crate-trained. She knows a few basic commands. She is still too nervous to venture beyond the safety of home but gains confidence from canine friends.
