About Regina

Picture it: your couch, your lap, and me—Regina, a 1.5-year-old Shepherd/Coonhound mix whose name means queen, and trust me, I wear that crown with pride. At 38 pounds, I’m the perfect mix of cuddle buddy and playmate. I soak up every ounce of attention and affection. I’ve mastered the art of chasing the big dogs, leaping over them with style, and keeping the place free of cats—they’re just not my thing. My bursts of hound energy are followed by moments of calm, so I can thrive in either a house or an apartment. Give me plenty of bones, puzzles, and chew toys, and I’ll keep myself entertained. I’ll admit—I’m cautious with new people at first. Slow introductions help me feel secure, and once I trust you, I’ll be by your side, loyal and affectionate. I do best with confident, dominant dogs as my playmates, regardless of whether they’re boys or girls. I may be a little guarded at first, but once I’m settled, I’m yours.

Ideal Home

I can thrive in either a house or an apartment. I do best with confident, dominant dogs as my playmates and definitely need a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip.

Training & Support

I’m still working on my house, crate, and leash skills. Dogs are pack animals, and I do not do well in outdoor-only homes. Please make sure you are 100% committed to me before considering adding me to your home.
