Meet Paulette, a 10-year-old, 10-pound Miniature Poodle with a soft, gentle nature and a quietly endearing personality. Paulette is a bit shy and timid at first, and she is still learning confidence in the world around her. With patience and reassurance, her sweet personality begins to gently shine through.

She thrives in the company of her canine friends, who help her feel safe and secure. Because of this, Paulette requires another confident, well-established dog in the home to help guide her and provide comfort as she adjusts to new environments.

Paulette does well in playgroup and enjoys interacting with other dogs in a social setting. She also loves to bark and explore the yard, showing little bursts of curiosity and personality once she feels comfortable in her surroundings.

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
