Happy is a 1.5-year-old, 26-pound tan and white mix, possibly Dachshund and Beagle, with adorably short ears! She's spayed, vaccinated (including rabies), heartworm negative, and currently on monthly heartworm prevention. Happy is ready to find her forever home! She was surrendered because she was being picked on by other dogs in her previous home, which made her fearful. While she can be a bit nervous around things like passing cars, she hasn't shown fear or aggression towards dogs since arriving with us. With a little time to warm up, she's also very friendly with people. Happy's greatest joys are food and treats – we're sure she'd learn anything with positive reinforcement and a consistent routine! She loves playing outside, especially with her human nearby, and enjoys leash walks on quieter paths or trails. Happy knows her name, is crate trained, and is reliably potty trained. She thrives on predictability and a calm home life, so major changes and constant adventure aren't her style. A fenced yard or consistent, quiet walks would be ideal for her.

Happy is located in Texarkana, TX. We primarily adopt within the ArkLaTexOma region. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements.
