Isabella is a sweet 6-year-old, 8lb Pom mix who is looking for her forever home! She's a dog-friendly pup who is house-trained when kept on a consistent schedule and is also pee pad and crate trained. Isabella can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe and confident, she'll be right by your side, completely content. She's a quick learner and navigates her surroundings well, as long as things stay in their place! Isabella does require a quieter environment and can become stressed by excessive noise or too many other dogs.
Ideal Home
Isabella needs a home that understands she is blind. While she learns her surroundings quickly, she needs stability and consistency in her environment, so moving furniture frequently is not ideal. She does not do well with more than three other dogs, as too much commotion can cause confusion and stress, leading to excessive barking. She also needs at least two weeks in her new home with just her people, with no visitors, to allow her to settle in and build trust.
Ongoing Health
Isabella was born with a micro eye defect and has dry eye, which requires daily eye drops. She also has arthritis in her hips and legs, which affects her gait but is well-managed with pain medication. She is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Isabella is house-trained when kept on a schedule and is pee pad and crate trained. She can bark obsessively when she feels unsafe or uncomfortable with her surroundings. A quiet environment with minimal noise is essential for her to feel secure.

Transporation
Isabella is currently located in Hatboro, PA. Due to the need for home checks and meets with all humans and animals in the home, applications from within the local area will be prioritized as our foster volunteers have limited travel capabilities.
