Blanco is a 3-4 year old, big lover boy who is always SO excited for love and attention. He is a very athletic boy who loves to run along the fences with the other dogs. With some training, he would be a great adventure buddy! He is a very strong boy, so a firm handler would be best. Breed knowledge would definitely be an asset. Blanco used to be part of a bonded pair and was abandoned with his brother, Bruno. Unfortunately, the stress of losing their family was enough to sever their bond. Bruno is now the most spoiled and loved baby out there, and we want that same thing for poor Blanco, who has been waiting over a year for his forever family to come along.
Ideal Home
Blanco is hoping for an active home where he can be very involved in what you're doing. Due to his exuberant nature, he would be best suited to a family with older or no children. He could be successful in a home with another dog with a proper slow introduction, time, and patience. He has not been tested with cats, but would likely chase them.
Ongoing Health
Blanco's adoption fee includes vaccinations (Rabies, Leptospirosis, Distemper, Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Lyme), bloodwork (heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma testing), deworming, spay/neuter, microchipping, and any other necessary treatments or surgeries.
Training & Support
Blanco has shown signs of resource guarding in the past, so this is something to be mindful of. He is a very strong boy, so a firm handler would be best, and breed knowledge would definitely be an asset.
