NEWTON (JAX)

Welcome back Jax! This handsome fellow, born on 5/19/23 and weighing around 20lbs, is a curious mix of Mountain Cur, Australian Cattle Dog, and Rat Terrier. Jax was adopted as a puppy but has returned to us, ready to find his forever family. His breed combination means he's a driven dog who absolutely craves attention and has a wonderful eagerness to please. He'd be a fantastic companion for an active individual or family who loves the outdoors, whether that's hiking, walking, camping, or just enjoying a leisurely stroll. Jax is quick and agile, so he'd likely excel in activities like agility training!

Ideal Home

Jax can be a bit possessive of his person and his toys, so he needs a home that can provide clear direction and consistent corrections. He responds well to verbal commands and understands what's expected, though he still enjoys testing boundaries as a young dog. He is not recommended for homes with other dogs, cats, or children.

Ongoing Health

Jax is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Jax is completely house and crate trained. He walks well on a leash and knows several commands including sit, down, shake, drop it, and stay. He will sometimes push boundaries, so consistent training and clear direction are key to his success.
