Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs around 60 pounds. He was rescued from a local shelter and quickly captured our hearts with his sweet nature. Zac is a loyal companion who enjoys a good balance of playfulness and relaxation. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and loves to be near his people, often gazing lovingly into their eyes. He's also quite the conversationalist, especially if dinner is running a little late!
Ideal Home
Zac thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods. He enjoys having other dogs around or people nearby to share his life with. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he would do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.
Ongoing Health
Zac underwent FHO surgery on a back leg due to a previous, untreated injury. He has since healed completely and requires no further medical intervention or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks calmly on leash and doesn't react to other dogs. His foster is working with him on not jumping up when excited, and continued positive reinforcement will help him succeed in this area.
