Alder

Alder is a handsome 3-year-old Pyr who came to us from Texas. He was one of the lucky ones to be rescued from the overwhelming stray dog population and is now ready to find his forever home.

Alder is a shy but friendly gentleman who craves affection and attention. He's still learning how to express his excitement, but we suspect he'll master the Pyr paw in no time!

Ideal Home

Alder would benefit from a home with a calmer, playful dog. He's a bit protective of his food, so he'll need to be fed separately from other dogs. He seems to do well with cats and would likely be fine in a home with children who are past the "screeching years." A fenced yard would be ideal, but he walks well on a leash, making a home without one acceptable as long as he gets daily walks. He is not a dog that can be left to wander in the backyard unsupervised.
