Oreo is a gentle, resilient, and heartbreakingly devoted soul, estimated to be around 3-4 years old. She carries herself with a soft caution, always observing before she moves, and her story is quietly written in the way she watches, waits, and hopes. Oreo was found wandering the streets with her baby, and instead of running, she chose trust by climbing into her finder's car. Despite experiencing abuse and multiple litters, she still seeks connection and is slowly learning that kindness can be consistent. Her affection is deeply meaningful once trust is earned, and she enjoys hand-feeding and gentle attention.
Ideal Home
Oreo thrives in a calm, quiet, and structured environment. She has not been exposed to children and would do best in an adult-only home or with older, dog-savvy teens who understand boundaries. She is happiest as the only dog, preferring human companionship and can become overwhelmed in multi-dog environments. She also has a high prey drive and is not suitable for homes with cats or small animals.
Ongoing Health
Oreo's body shows signs of multiple litters. She is still healing from past trauma and is learning that hands can comfort, not hurt.
Training & Support
Oreo is still learning skills like leash walking and potty training. She needs an experienced, compassionate adopter who understands behavior modification, trauma-informed care, and positive, structured training. She is not difficult, she is healing and deserves someone willing to walk beside her.
