About Masha
Masha is a stunning Alaskan Husky, around 5 years old and weighing approximately 55 lbs. With her captivating sky-blue eyes and noble presence, she's a truly majestic dog who makes an unforgettable impression. Masha has a calm and affectionate personality, eagerly seeking out pets and attention from strangers with no signs of aggression. She's a quick learner who's eager to please, possessing a wonderfully balanced temperament that is loyal, brave, social, and affectionate. Her playful, fun, and talkative nature, along with a charmingly curious "chismosa" streak, makes her incredibly endearing. Masha is generally good in a crate for up to 12 hours without accidents and walks well on a leash, though she can pull a bit when excited to run. She enjoys toys but can be protective of them, especially around other dogs. When bored and without toys, she might chew on wood, plastic, or anything she can find. True to her Husky heritage, she loves to howl and bark and has a stubborn streak. Masha can be territorial with other dogs, particularly dominant ones. While not aggressive, she likes to assert herself as the "boss," sometimes with playful nips or by pestering her companions. She is, however, loving and gentle with children. Masha has been waiting five years for her forever family and deserves a home where she can experience the joys of walks, running freely, and exploring the world. She's more than just a dog; she's a majestic soul, a loyal companion, and a loving friend.
Ideal Home
Masha would thrive with a very active family who has experience with dog behavior and training. A family with other dogs and children, who has an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, and who possesses high tolerance and patience for rescued dogs would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Masha's health is up-to-date with necessary vaccinations, deworming, and preventative treatments for ticks, fleas, and heartworm. She will be spayed/neutered and will come with a health certificate.
Training & Support
Masha can be a bit of a barker and may chew on inappropriate items when bored or without toys. She also has a stubborn streak. She has been noted as not being house-trained. Potential adopters should be prepared for an adjustment period, as rescued dogs may have been traumatized and require patience and understanding.
