Raquel

Raquel is an eleven-month-old Anatolian Shepherd with a heart as big as her breed suggests! She came to us from a challenging hoarding situation where she didn't have the opportunity for early socialization. While she's still learning to navigate the world, Raquel is incredibly sweet and eager to trust. New experiences can be a bit overwhelming for her at first, but with a little time and patience, she settles in beautifully. She's making wonderful progress and is well past being shut down, gaining confidence daily. Raquel is a big girl, likely to be well over 100 pounds, and she's still mastering indoor living, leash walking, and everyday household activities. She's not difficult, just inexperienced and a little unsure.

Ideal Home

Raquel would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as she's still learning about the world outside and can startle easily. A confident, friendly resident dog would be a huge asset to help her learn and build her confidence. Due to her sensitive nature, we recommend a home with children over the age of 10. She is good with other dogs and cats.
