A little about them
BRILLO is a playful, active Golden Shepherd Mix who is approximately 1 year and 8 months old and weighs 39 pounds. She was rescued with her mother in Michoacán, Mexico, and is currently in Guadalajara. She can be shy and timid with new people, but with patience, positive reinforcement, and time to approach at her own pace, she can build trust and thrive.
Ideal Home
BRILLO would do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can provide regular exercise, walks, playtime, mental stimulation, toys, treats, and enrichment. She gets along with dogs of all sizes. Her behavior around cats and children is unknown, and she may need support with prey-drive behaviors.
Ongoing Health
- Spayed and vaccinated.
- She will travel with proof of her vaccines and test records.
- A heartworm test and other testing will be completed before she flies to Canada.
- Future dental work or veterinary visits, if needed, are the adopter’s responsibility.
Training & Support
BRILLO has leash skills but will benefit from continued leash training with a well-fitted harness. House training is a work in progress; frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help her learn. She is generally quiet, though she may bark while playing with other dogs.
