Hi, I'm Kimo! I arrived at Mississauga Animal Services as a stray in February 2025 and was never claimed. I'm now ready to find my forever home! I'm a 6-year-old Siberian Husky, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. I've got that classic husky energy and personality; friendly, playful, and always up for something to do. I love my people and I'm always happy to greet familiar faces with enthusiasm (sometimes a little too much enthusiasm; I'm still working on my manners and I may jump up for hugs). When I'm not saying hello or asking for attention, I like to keep myself busy with toys and chews. Tennis balls are my absolute favourite... and I'll be honest, I sometimes get a bit possessive about them. I've been working on this with training, and I do best when I'm guided through calm trade-offs. I can be a little reserved when meeting new people at first, but once I'm comfortable, my personality really shines through. I'm affectionate, playful, and very people-focused.
Ideal Home
I would do best in a home with no children under 17, as I need an environment that can support my boundaries and ongoing learning. I'd likely do best as the only pet in the home while I continue working on my training and social skills, as I haven't done well with male dogs and can be a bit pushy with females.

Training & Support
I'm still working on my manners and may jump up for hugs when I'm excited. I can sometimes get a bit possessive of my tennis balls, but I respond well to calm trade-offs and clear, fair expectations. I'm making steady improvements in training, especially around resource guarding. I need a patient and consistent person who understands I'm still a work in progress.
