About Oreo
Oreo is a delightful one-year-old "everything-in-one" mystery mix, weighing in at a sturdy 55-60 lbs, who is eager to find his forever family. Whether you're seeking a companion for car rides or a professional snuggler, Oreo is your guy. His DNA reveals a unique blend of American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Pit Bull Terrier, with a hint of 12 other breeds, making him truly one of a kind. Oreo had a challenging start, found abandoned with his siblings, but his sweet nature shines through. He's a social butterfly who enjoys car rides and is a gentleman around people and other dogs. After a good 10-minute play session or a walk, Oreo is ready to relax. He's shown promise indoors, with no accidents and an apparent understanding of outdoor potty needs. Oreo is fascinated by television, especially "Clifford the Big Red Dog," and has become a world-class cuddler once he discovered the joy of couches. He also has a funny habit of dipping his front paws in his water bowl while drinking, adding to his charm.
Ideal Home
Oreo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is very sweet-natured. Due to his youthful energy and tendency to jump up in greeting, a home with children aged 10 and up is recommended. He was a "Gold Star" patient during a recent grooming session, handling his bath and nail trim like a champ. While he hasn't met a cat yet, testing can be arranged upon request.
Ongoing Health
Oreo is fully vetted and ready for his new home. His adoption includes a comprehensive health package: he is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been recently dewormed and is on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. Within 10 days of his travel, Oreo will receive a fresh health certificate exam and a fecal exam.
Training & Support
Oreo is described as having "zoomie" spurts but is generally low-maintenance after a short period of activity. He has shown promise with indoor etiquette, including potty training.
