Perdita <3

My name is Perdita, and I'm a young, sweet girl who recently arrived with my 10 puppies. I took great care of them, and now that they're all finding their forever homes, it's my turn! I can be a little shy around men and sometimes startled by loud noises or fast movements, but I warm up with a little patience. I absolutely LOVE sleeping on the couch and in bed with my people, and I also really enjoy playing with other medium-large, playful dogs. I haven't been tested with small dogs or children, but I might do well with proper introductions. My foster family has two kitties, and while I do want to chase them, it's mostly in a playful way.

Ideal Home

I would do best in a home with a fenced yard and someone who is home more often than not. I don't like being crated, but I've been fine when left out with the other dogs for short periods when my foster parents need to leave.

Ongoing Health

I am currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease, which is curable. The rescue will fully educate you on any precautions needed during my treatment. I will be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and have a fecal test and full panel of wellness blood work done before adoption. I've also been on Simparica Trio for monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention while in foster care.

Training & Support

As a young dog, I'm still learning some basic manners. I'm working on not jumping up, counter surfing, and chewing on things I shouldn't when bored, like paper towels and blankets.
